Getting Started with your Custom Scrapbook

Contact:
• Contact me via e-mail our contact me with a simple summary of any project ideas or any questions you might have.
• I will respond, usually within 24 - 48 hours, to begin our initial consultation. I will start with detailed questions regarding your project needs. We will discuss the type of project you desire, specific colors or layout ideas and the estimated cost and timeline.

Organize Your Photographs:
• Once you have decided on an album or layout theme (i.e., wedding , baby, Christmas, vacation, etc.), please arrange all the photos you wish to be included in the album in order, I can help with this step if needed at an hourly rate of $15.00 per hour.
• You can arrange the photos by theme, milestones, seasons, etc. Do not worry about how many photos will fit on a page. I will determine if a group of photos require a two or four page layout. Including photos in variety of sizes works well for most layouts.
• Place each group of photos and any coordinating memorabilia in a zip lock bag and number the bags in the order you want them to appear in your album.
• If you have numerous photos for each group and have difficulty choosing which ones to include, I can do that for you. Simply include them in the zip lock bag.
• Any photos not used will be mailed back to you unaltered with your completed album.
• Now is a good time to begin to think about the journaling. Start with the date and any pertinent information, then expand on any specific details you want to record to help tell your story. It is not necessary to get down all the journaling you wish to have included at this point. You can always send me your journaling via email. However sometimes it is easier to journal while looking at your photos.

Purchase Your Album & Page Accessories:
• You can find and purchase your own scrapbook album at your local scrapbooking or craft store or online. Just ensure that you choose an album that is acid and lignin free.
• If you choose to purchase your album online, you can have it shipped directly to me to avoid paying for shipment of the album twice.
• If you decide to go with a strap-hinged album, please note that you will need to purchase page protectors separately.
• If you are unfamiliar with scrapbook albums, I can help you by recommending an album for you and by detailing the pros and cons of each type of album.

Customer Agreement:
• Print and complete a copy of my Customer Agreement, Photo/Memorabilia Inventory, and Journaling forms then include the forms in the package with your photos. You can click here and get the forms.

Mail Your Photos Deposit & Signed Customer Agreement And Other Forms:
• Place all your photos in a photo-safe envelope or folder and then pack the envelope in a small, sturdy box. Ensure the photos will not shift around by packing the box securely. It is your resposiblity to insure the items you send, I can not be resposible for lost items.
• Include a completed copy of all the forms listed above for your album/project, your scrapbook album, and any additional pages with their page protectors along with all your supplies.
• Please include the deposit amount of 50% of the total estimated cost, as quoted in our initial consultation or you can pay via any major credit card through PayPal.

The Designing Process Begins:
• I will send you an e-mail notifying you that I have received your photo package. Once payment has been received, I will begin designing your album or project. I can send you photos of the layouts as I get them complete if you would like to see the progress or it can remain a surprise until the album/project arrives.

Upon Completion:
• Once I have completed your album I will e-mail you the final bill for your album/project including the shipping fees. Once I receive payment I will mail all the pages in their protectors assembled in the album to the mailing address of your choice using USPS Priority Mail with delivery confirmation.
• If you choose to pay by check, I will mail the completed album once your check has been cleared by the bank.
• I will send you an e-mail notifying you of the date your album/project was mailed.

Returns & Refunds:
• Once you receive the album, you have 7 days to contact me with any concerns. I truly want you to be happy with your album.
• The customer will incur all return shipping costs if they are needed.
• Please understand that all efforts available will be made to ensure satisfaction of a completed album or page. Because this will be a custom and individualized service, a completed project cannot be returned for a refund.
